“Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told reporters today that taking armed action against Iran would be “extremely stressful” for a U.S. military already heavily engaged in Iraq and Afghanistan. And any strike on Iran, whether by the U.S. or by Israel, would have unpredictable and potentially dangerous consequences, he said at a Pentagon news conference.”
